Now you have an electric fly unit you will need to maintain it! The tubes will last approximately one year and the level of insect attraction continues to reduce over a 12 month period. Even though they are operational for longer, the level of UV-A would have reduced resulting in the fly catch level being minimized. The tube will need to be changed a minimum of once a year and should be changed prior to the peak flying season. If you have a unit with glue boards then these will need changing when they are full.
